Arts Access
Art exists to be explored, experienced and appreciated by everyone. Arts Access is an annual outreach program sponsored by ArtsMemphis that ensures the arts are available to those who can't always afford the price of admission. Thanks to more than 30 participating arts organizations, free tickets to arts events and exhibits are available year-round for TennCare/Church Health Center patients and Food Stamp recipients.

The Arts Access Booklet was made possible through the generous support of Baptist Memorial Healthcare.

How the Program Works

Review your booklet (open the booklet online through link above) and find an Arts Access event you would like to attend.
Find the phone number of the group whose event you want to attend in the list below.
Call the arts organization directly to request Arts Access tickets.

Receiving and Using Tickets

Remember that there are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets are awarded on a first come, first served basis. If all of the tickets are already reserved on a particular date, please choose another date or another event.

Each arts organization handles Arts Access ticket distribution in its own way, so listen carefully to the instructions for when and where to pick up tickets.

You must present your EBT card, TennCare insurance card, Church Health Center appointment card or Military I.D. to receive your tickets.

Verify performance dates and times when you reserve tickets in case changes were made after this booklet was printed.

Remember that some groups do not seat latecomers until intermission. Generally, children under five years old are not admitted to performances. Check with each organization if you want to bring children.

General admission fee will be waived by: the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, The Metal Museum, the Children's Museum of Memphis and the Dixon Gallery and Gardens. You must show your EBT card, TennCare insurance card Church Health Center appointment card or Military I.D. to prove eligibility for free admission.

Free Art Galleries

There is no admission fee to view works at the Memphis College of Art Gallery, The Art Museum at the University of Memphis, Christian Brothers University Gallery and Rhodes College Clough-Hanson Art Gallery. Most private local galleries are also free and open to the public during the day. Call for times of operation.
